This is a pivotal, handson leadership role reporting directly to the CEO. You will oversee all divisions, supervise section heads and staff (currently ~14 fulltime employees and ~30 casual contractors), monitor strategic initiatives, and ensure operational excellence in a fastpaced, purposedriven environment. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, generally 07301530 or 08001600 hours. Key Responsibilities Supervise section heads, junior managers, and all employees across sales, retail, manufacturing, and training divisions to foster high performance and accountability, with particular emphasis on driving and monitoring CTOMS sales performance, including major bids, tenders, and contracts. Monitor progress on strategic projects and initiatives, holding teams accountable to timelines, quality standards, and deliverables as directed by the Executive, while maintaining close oversight of key sales pipelines, opportunities, and revenue targets. Support and develop all CTOMS employees to reach their full potential through mentorship, routine career and performance interviews, and maintaining accurate personnel records. Promote a respectful, professional workplace; intervene decisively, following disciplinary policy when applicable, to address inappropriate behavior from employees, contractors, or visitors at CTOMS facilities or temporary sites. Anticipate operational challenges, resolve issues at the lowest level possibleincluding problemsolving sales discrepancies, shipping delays, or fulfillment issuesand elevate serious incidents, accidents, or personnel matters to the Executive with recommended solutions. Contribute actively to executivelevel strategic planning, maintain detailed records/notes, and distribute reports to the management team. Ensure proper use and security of company infrastructure, material assets, personal/business information including intellectual property and branding, and facilities. Enforce clear division of labour, reinforce professional standards, and document performance, discipline, counseling, job descriptions, and organizational hierarchy. Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and resellers to support reliable supply chains, favourable terms, and sustained business growth. Be flexible and prepared to temporarily assume other roles as needed to support the team, including handson management of important or highvalue orders and facilitating critical sales transactions directly when the customer, contract, or deal is strategically significant. Act as the voice of junior managers and employees to the Executive while maintaining strong, collaborative relationships across the organisation. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the CEO or CFO. Qualifications Demonstrated formal leadership training and development (or equivalent proven experience). Experience in personnel and resource management within a mediumsize business/organisation environment. Military experience at Company or Battalion level command is strongly preferred we highly value the transferable skills in leadership, discipline, team building, and operational execution from Canadian military service. Postsecondary education in personnel management, project management, business administration, or a related field is an asset but not essential. Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to respectful, professional interactions internally and when representing CTOMS publicly. Proven ability to anticipate problems, solve them proactively, and maintain high standards of efficiency, security, and accountability. Comfortable with documentation tools (e.g., spreadsheets, personnel files, reports) and basic organisational systems. Nicetohave (but not mandatory): Experience in government procurement, supply chain and vendor management, logistics in manufacturing, ecommerce, CRM tools for sales, quality control systems, compliance knowledge (e.g., medical device regulations), or training operations and online training platforms. Eligibility to work in Canada; preference for candidates based in or willing to relocate to the Edmonton area (no relocation support provided).
