The Opportunity We are looking to fill an opening for a Director, Product Design to join the Client Experience team. This is an exciting journey to shape the future of investing for Canadians by delivering bestinclass wealth platforms. As the Director of Product Design, you will help us achieve our bold ambition and bring our visions to life as well as help us chart the course for our continued success. Reporting to the Vice President of Experience, the Director will manage a team of Product Designers who ensure the solutions we deliver are both desirable and viable. The primary responsibility is staffing, coaching, and mentoring. We empower our product team to solve difficult customer and business problems in ways that our customers will love, while also delivering business results. A crossfunctional and durable product leadership triumvirate consists of a product manager, a product designer and a technology lead that are uniquely responsible for the product''''s success. What your day looks like Lead and manage a team of Product Designers, providing coaching and mentorship to ensure their professional growth and success. Collaborate with crossfunctional teamsincluding Product Managers, Tech Leads, and Business Partnersto discover effective solutions and bring them to market, ensuring that the products developed meet the needs of customers and the business. Empower the team to determine the best solutions to the problems to be solved, holding them accountable for delivering valuable outcomes. Advocate for digital experience design both within the team and throughout the organization, creating excitement and alignment around humancentred design. Coordinate and communicate across multiple product teams, validating product plans with customer feedback and continually evolving to exceed business and user expectations. Measure success through clear customer insights, hold the team accountable via a KPI framework, and celebrate successes to drive continuous improvement. Requirements Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience. Experience: At least 710 years working on technologypowered products as a Director of UX, Product Designer, or User Researcher. Design Expertise: You are a user experience evangelist, advancing a designled philosophy that works in close coordination with technology and product teams. Delivery Experience: Demonstrable understanding of modern product discovery and delivery techniques, agile methodology, and leveraging customer insights for incremental product benefits. Technical Comprehension: Ability to assess viability and collaborate effectively with technical counterparts. Business Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to learn multiple functional areasexperience, finance, sales, and/or marketingwith financial industry experience a plus. Analytical and ProblemSolving Skills: Ability to devise solutions to difficult problems, use sound judgement to assess risks, and present a wellstructured, datainformed narrative. Software and Tools: Comfort with design software (Figma, Photoshop, Miro, etc.), MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel), agile tools (Confluence, JIRA), and digital analytics platforms (Google or Adobe Analytics). Communication: Outstanding communication and presentation skills, fluent in English, bilingual in French an asset. Teamwork: Experience working with crossfunctional teams and understanding the importance of collaboration in delivering a successful product. Understanding of Customer Experience: Fundamental understanding of endtoend customer experience, user journeys, and service design fundamentals, enabling decisions that enhance the overall user experience based on realworld interactions and digital footprints.
