Position Summary The Justice Institute of British Columbia is seeking a strategic and relationship-focused leader to serve as Program Director, Community Corrections. This role exists to ensure the delivery of high-impact, evidence-informed training that strengthens the operational effectiveness of Community Corrections within BC Corrections. Acting as the senior representative and primary liaison, the Program Director safeguards alignment between institutional priorities and client objectives, ensuring programs are responsive, sustainable, and grounded in quality and accountability. This position provides executive-level oversight of program design, service planning, and operational execution across a diverse training portfolio. Through thoughtful consultation, contract stewardship, and rigorous quality assurance, the Program Director translates strategic goals into actionable plans that meet evolving system needs. Accountability spans service plan development, resource allocation, workforce planning, and the continuous improvement of administrative and instructional practices. Financial oversight and performance reporting further ensure that program delivery reflects strong governance and sound fiscal management. As a senior leader, the Program Director cultivates a high-performing, inclusive team environment that reflects JIBCs commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and Indigenization. Qualifications & Requirements Masters degree or bachelors degree, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Completed Probation Officer training through JIBCs Corrections Academy. Formal education or training in adult education, curriculum development, instructional design, or training delivery. Education or training in supervisory skills, leadership, management, or business administration. Minimum two (2) years of experience in a supervisory or management role. Minimum three (3) years of experience as an instructor and/or instructional designer, ideally within an adult probation or corrections-related context. Minimum four (4) years of work experience with BC Corrections (Community Corrections Division). Demonstrated experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and contract management. Demonstrated experience in program development and/or project management. Knowledge of adult education principles and instructional design and delivery methodologies. Knowledge of program development, project management, and program evaluation practices. Knowledge of budgeting processes and contract management principles. Knowledge of online learning environments, including JIBCs Blackboard Learning Management System. Working knowledge of common business and collaboration tools, including MS Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, Adobe, SharePoint, OneDrive, and internet-based applications.
