Were looking for a handson Engineering Manager with a strong mechanical engineering background who wants to own the system, not just manage drawings. This is a role for someone who enjoys complexity, thrives in crossfunctional environments, and sees engineering as both a technical and commercial discipline. What Youll Be Accountable For 1. Product Engineering & Design Leadership Own endtoend engineering output from sales handoff through production release Ensure drawings are manufacturingready, accurate, and aligned with internal standards Lead Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) with clarity, urgency, and accountability Maintain and continuously improve engineering standards, templates, and best practices 2. Drafting & Throughput Management Oversee drafting workflows to ensure predictable, timely delivery Balance speed with qualityminimizing rework and shopfloor disruptions Forecast engineering capacity against incoming sales demand Reduce bottlenecks between Sales, Engineering, and Production 3. Sales Support & Value Engineering Partner with Sales during custom quote requests to valueengineer solutions Identify costeffective design alternatives that protect margin and manufacturability Support Sales with samples, mockups, and technical input as needed Act as a trusted technical advisornot a gatekeeper 4. Product Line Ownership & Innovation Own and maintain the product catalogue Drive product improvements, material optimization, and design innovation Lead continuous improvement in design processes and workflow efficiency Contribute to new product development from concept to productionready release 5. CrossFunctional Collaboration Interface closely with the Plant Manager and Manufacturing Engineer Proactively address manufacturability constraints and production needs Support continuous improvement initiatives across Engineering and Operations Build credibility on the shop floor and in leadership meetings alike What Were Looking For MustHave Experience Mechanical Engineering background (degree or equivalent practical experience) Experience in product engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environments Proven ability to translate designs into realworld, scalable production Strong understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM) Experience working directly with Sales, Production, and Operations NicetoHave (Not Required) Experience in custom or engineeredtoorder products Exposure to cataloguebased product systems Leadership or mentorship experience Background in continuous improvement or lean environments How You Think & Work You take ownership and dont wait for permission Youre comfortable making decisions with imperfect information You communicate clearlywith engineers, salespeople, and operators You care about quality, margin, and throughput, not just design elegance You enjoy improving systems, not just executing tasks What Youll Get A highimpact leadership role with real influence across the business Direct visibility into how engineering drives revenue and margin The opportunity to build and improve systems, not inherit rigid bureaucracy Competitive compensation aligned with experience A growing organization where strong performers are recognized and trusted Disclosure: Due to the number of applicants, we make use of AIdriven software for portions of our review process, however all final decisions are made by people.
