Main St Head Office 200 Main St 6th floor Winnipeg, MB R3C1A8, CAN Reporting to the Manager, Wealth Foundations, the Wealth Consultant contributes positively to the bottom line of ACU Wealth Management by playing a key role in providing financial advice and building relationships among our current and new members / clients. The incumbent will be proactive in providing exceptional service to our existing Wealth Members and providing an exceptional Wealth experience as we on board new wealth relationships. This role supports Assiniboine Credit Union/ Caisse Assiniboine (ACU)s commitment to rural and agricultural communities, francophone services, values-based banking, and ACUs triple bottom line accountability to people, planet, and prosperity. Key Accountabilities Provide direct advice, service, and guidance on mutual funds and other wealth related disciplines and work with the entire Wealth Foundations team to manage that book of business. Responsible for ensuring all regulatory requirements are met including (but not limited to) client meeting frequency, KYP, and KYC and operating within the guidance of ACU expectations for compliance and product shelf. Proactively develops and contributes to the team portfolio of member relationships, assesses and anticipates individual member needs to maximize member relationships; develops a portfolio and contact management plan; conducts regular portfolio reviews with the member. Responsible for assisting members in clarifying their individual financial goals and objectives in both their short-term and long-term perspective by assessing risk tolerance levels, analyzing financial information, and delivering solutions. Responsible for identifying and assessing potential needs of members and working in collaboration with other specialists in addressing these needs Responsible for ensuring our members get the appropriate advice and referring to other Wealth Partners or ACU retail or commercial when required. Responsible for maintaining awareness of market conditions, new product offerings, taxation changes and service features available Completes and delivers basic planning through wealth calculators to help member on their wealth journey. Acts as an ambassador of ACU by being visible in the organization and the community support of corporate and community initiatives. Qualifications Education and Experience The competencies for this position would typically be acquired preferably through the completion of a post-secondary education, plus two to three years of job-related experience in the financial sector, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid Mutual Funds license is required for this role. Key Occupational Skills Strategic thinker with the demonstrated ability to understand and analyze member needs, develop and recommend appropriate products and services to support members financial success. Strong interpersonal, verbal and presentation skills with the ability and passion to engage with others authentically, establish trust, and build long-lasting relationships. Experience and comfort with a fast-paced, complex work environment, and the ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities simultaneously, with an orientation toward delivering results. Self-starter with ability to work independently & in a team environment Previous work experience in a financial institution is required. Strong computer application skills required; must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Credit Union products and services is an asset. Knowledge of Credit Union policies, procedures and operations is an asset. The ability to communicate verbally and in writing in French is a strong asset. Location and Work Environment It is anticipated that once the Wealth Foundations Team is fully operational, hybrid work options may be a possibility. Attendance at meetings in person where required is an expectation of the role. Infrequent travel may be required.
