Job Description

IS2 Workforce Solutions is hiring a Regional Director of Operations who will lead and grow the regional business while overseeing multiple distribution centres across Western Canada. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, this role is pivotal in driving strategic expansion, operational excellence and fostering strong relationships both internally with our team and externally with customers and vendors. The Regional Director will partner with the respective General Managers to deliver innovative solutions that align with the strategic objectives of the company including profitability, operational excellence, business development, process improvement, workforce stability and retention of key accounts. Pay Rate: Starting from $150,000 final pay will be based on experience Schedule: Mon-Fri 0800-1630 Work Location: In person Calgary, AB What Youll Do: Drive regional growth strategies, including supporting in identifying new market opportunities and expanding service offerings Collaborate with Business Development and VP of Operations on RFPs, solution design and client presentations to secure new business Develop and execute strategic plans to increase market share and strengthen relationships with key accounts Assists in negotiations with prospective clients ensuring complete documentation of contract commitments and expectations. Ensures communication and delivery of commercial agreements. Translate customer contracts into actionable operational plans and ensure compliance while adapting to evolving client and market needs. Facilitate and lead regular business reviews with customers to ensure strategic, tactical and KPI performance objectives are met and reviewed according to annual plans and budgets. Drives the culture of Performance Management and Continuous Improvement in all facilities. Works closely with the Human Resources team to develop leadership talent, succession planning, workforce engagement including promoting the Our Way program. Leverage experience in labour relations and collective bargaining as needed, while effectively managing both unionized and non-union environments. Spearheads any new business start-ups and ensures a successful ramp up to and including steady state. Distribution centre performance this individual will be accountable to work with their respective General Managers in setting and achieving prescribed company objectives across multiple facilities with regards to annual budgets that include cost, productivity, volume forecasting, customer service and profit objectives. Developing continuous improvement initiatives that align with an Always Improving methodology that supports customer and company initiatives in collaboration with supporting teams such as; Engineering, IT, and PMO Develops and manages project plan to deliver approved solutions for the region which includes identifying milestones, tasks, schedules, project resources, risk, and contingencies. What Were Looking For: Minimum ten (10) years of operational management experience in Consumer Packaged Goods Minimum five (5) years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple facilities in a 3PL or distribution environment. Proven experience in labour relations and collective bargaining as part of a broader leadership toolkit and/or Retail sectors; experience in oil, gas or industrial environments is considered an asset Demonstrated ability driving profitable, multi-divisional revenue growth through strategic customer acquisition and expansion to win new business and lead regional growth strategy. Proven track record of leading multiple successful start ups and operational transformations. A Bachelors Degree in business management with a focus on operations management, materials management; a designation in logistics management CITT or P. Log. Designation is preferred and/or a combination of experience will be considered. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized, reliable and dependable with strong problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer and math skills.
