Work Model: Hybrid 4 days onsite Duration: (6 months) + Extension About the Role: Our client is seeking two HR Analyst II professionals to provide endtoend operational payroll support, focusing on Canadian and U.S. payroll compliance, expatriate payroll, year-end processing, and reconciliation. This position is a backfill role within a collaborative 6member team, offering exposure to year-end tax slip balancing, Workday reporting, and executive-level payroll support. Responsibilities Must-Have Responsibilities: Balance all year-end tax slips and complete year-end government filings Support expatriate assignments and globally mobile employees Participate in internal and external audits Provide customized payroll and year-end tax slip support for CEO & Senior Executive Team Manage end-to-end Board of Directors payroll Identify, review, and prepare POIs for reconciliation Correct taxes from Retiree Demographic reports and U.S. Tax Data Queries Respond to employee inquiries via ServiceNow Ensure integrity of Workday HR/Payroll data through tests & validations Prepare manual and amended tax slips Support year-end payroll accounting activities Recommend and implement process improvements Handle adjustments and resolve issues with business partners Process quarterly Director Fees payroll Manage manual off-cycle processing and EIB data loads Process bi-weekly cheque reversals Review PIER/Variance reports to correct data integrity issues Support daily expatriate payroll admin functions and shadow payrolls Validate annual PIER reports (CRA & RQ) Experience 34 years of HR/Payroll Analyst experience 3+ years of expatriate payroll experience Experience working in a large organization (preferred) Previous banking experience (nice to have) Skillsets Strong knowledge of Canadian Federal/Provincial and U.S. payroll regulations (CRA/RQ/IRS) Advanced Workday knowledge (payroll, HR, reporting, year-end processes) Strong Excel skills Excellent analytical skills Strong communication skills (verbal & written) Strong attention to detail Experience with report reconciliation principles Education Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or Computer Science Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation nice to have or in progress About US Tech Solutions: US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
