Product Owner Toronto, Canada (Remote Work) 12+ Months Contract Job Description: Note: Must have worked on customer facing products, particularly focused on customer centric application Roles & Responsibilities Vision and roadmap creation for client organizations Understands Product Discovery Facilitate product ideation/discovery phase. Confidence with techniques such as Persona development UX Design Thinking Paper (whiteboard) Prototyping Wireframes Story Mapping Work with development teams to rapidly develop product increments, potentially launching them into minimally viable products Ability to facilitate teams in the organization on general agile disciplines and/or product design Provide training sessions to Product groups to mentor individuals to become good Product Managers/Owners Provides UX/UI Oversight to the design teams. Steer design sprints Business Value delivery to the organizations through holistic prioritization of functional and nonfunctional requirements Define product vision, and growth opportunities with the team. Create a roadmap balancing business value, vision and technical requirements. Define and create clear MVP products with your product team. Lead sessions around epic sizing, refinements or other ways to help prioritize and create a high standard of output. Ensure clear and timely communication with all stakeholders. Collaborate with internal and external contacts to analyse needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals. Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to create and maintain product backlog according to business value. Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities. Enable the team to have focussed and productive sprints, for example by having prepared and prioritized tasks ready to be picked up and working with clear sprint goals. Key Skills Hands on experience in user story writing and elicitation techniques Knowledge and concepts of Story Mapping, Empathy Mapping Knowledge and concepts of INVEST, DEEP, DoD, DoR Knowledge and concepts of Kano Model, MoSCoW, WSJF, Cost of Delay Knowledge and concepts of Release Planning, Burndown Charts, Burn Up Charts Knowledge and concepts on ROI, Business Value Minimum Qualification Masters degree in business and/or technical sciences. At least 3 years experience with product and/or project management Experience working with / and managing Agile / Scrum projects Excellent organizational and communication skills Excellent at building relationships to achieve success for your market Ready to travel (Mandatory) Product Management Certification (Preferred)
