About the Role The Structural Engineer will oversee the design and project execution of renewable energy projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that designs and projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Lead development of products ensuring they meet structural and environmental specific requirements. Work with customers on designs, modifications, and custom requirements. Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed. Collaborate with internal teams of design and structural engineers. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Perform loading calculations using applicable building codes within North America. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Professional Engineering Designation preferred (P. Eng) 5 plus years experience in Structural Engineering role, consulting or EPC environments. Renewable Energy experience, specifically solar applications is ideal. Strong Construction industry knowledge (Safety, Cost Controls, Site Management) ideally with renewable energy projects in Canada and USA. Required Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in project management and applicable design software packages. Experience with solar, wind, or other renewable energy technologies. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
