Position Description The Monitoring & Operations Manager will lead Eneons monitoring and operational response function for managed BESS assets. This role is accountable for reliable day-to-day monitoring coverage, consistent incident response and customer communication, and the continuous improvement of operational performance. The role owns the operating model, standards, tools, and team capability required to deliver predictable monitoring outcomes and to support performance-based service commitments (e.g., SLAs, availability/uptime guarantees). Key responsibilities include: Own and operate Eneons monitoring and operations program, including service coverage model, roles/responsibilities, escalation paths, and customer communication standards. Lead the ROC to ensure alarms/events are translated into timely, consistent, and well-documented actions and outcomes. Define, maintain, and enforce operating procedures, playbooks, and quality standards for triage, remote actions, dispatch coordination, and incident communications. Establish and manage performance management and reporting: response performance, closure quality, repeat events, outage trends, and operational outcomes for customers and leadership. Drive continuous improvement using event history, root cause patterns, and performance trends to reduce repeat issues and improve restoration times. Own monitoring tooling and workflow integration with work management systems to ensure traceability from event to action to resolution to evidence. Set requirements for data quality, evidence retention, and operational documentation to support audits, customer disputes, and contractual performance obligations. Build and lead the monitoring team: hiring, onboarding, training, role development, and performance expectations. Partner cross-functionally with Field Services, Commissioning, Controls, Engineering and Asset Management to improve handoffs, reduce friction, and strengthen end-to-end service delivery. Required Qualifications 7+ years in operations/monitoring (ROC/NOC/control room), asset operations, or service delivery in energy, industrial, or critical infrastructure environments. Proven experience designing and running incident response workflows, escalation models, and operational communications. Strong understanding of SCADA/EMS concepts, alarm management, and operational risk. Demonstrated ability to define standards/SOPs and drive consistent execution across a team. Strong analytical and reporting capabilityable to turn operational data into decisions and improvements. Clear communicator with comfort managing escalations and customer-facing updates. Experience with BESS, renewables, or utility-scale assets is a strong asset. People leadership experience (or readiness to lead and scale a team) is preferred.
