Maritime Travel is hiring a full-time Travel Advisor / Travel Manager in Nanaimo. Were looking for a Vancouver Island-based travel professional with strong leisure travel sales ability, excellent customer service, and a passion for creating exceptional client experiences. This is not an entry-level tourism role. We are looking for someone who can build trust quickly, guide clients with confidence, and turn travel enquiries into booked itineraries and long-term client relationships. If you know how to match travellers with the right destination, package, cruise, flight, or custom itinerary, and you enjoy delivering a high-touch client experience, we would like to hear from you. What Youll Do Help clients plan and book leisure travel, including packages, flights, accommodations, cruises, and related services Deliver exceptional customer service from first enquiry through final booking Use a consultative sales approach to convert enquiries into bookings and grow repeat business Build tailored itineraries based on client needs, budget, and travel goals Handle changes, issues, cancellations, and travel-related problem solving with professionalism Maintain accurate booking records and travel documentation Stay current on destinations, supplier promotions, and travel trends Collaborate with the branch team to provide a strong client experience and hit sales goals What Were Looking For 1+ year of travel agency or leisure travel consultant experience Strong sales mindset with confidence recommending and closing travel bookings Excellent communication and client service skills Strong personal travel knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for the industry Experience with Apollo or Sabre is an asset Able to work on site in Nanaimo; applicants based in Nanaimo or elsewhere on Vancouver Island are strongly preferred Legally entitled to work in Canada Why Join Maritime Travel $55,000 to $60,000 salary range + bonus structure Full-time permanent opportunity Competitive compensation with performance-based earning potential Training and hands-on support from experienced travel professionals Travel perks and industry discounts Supportive team environment Long-term growth opportunity within a respected travel brand Apply If you are a relationship-driven travel professional who enjoys selling, solving problems, and helping clients create memorable trips.
