TeacherTutors at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are preplanned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods. Position Requirements All TeacherTutors work during afterschool and evening hours (4:00pm8:00pm) as well as some Saturdays (10:00am3:00pm). A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred; continuing through the summer is even better. The role is inperson; you must be able to commute to this location. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory. Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree or similar certification in a relevant field. Fourthyear university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered. Teaching certification is an asset. Good knowledge of the current Grades 912 math and science curriculum, especially senior math (Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus) and vectors, physics, chemistry, & biology. Experience: Some experience teaching/tutoring French, math and science at a Grade912 or equivalent level. Strong English written and oral communication skills. Strong math skills and ability to guide students understanding. Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time. Responsibilities Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels. Teaching online and inperson. Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies. Filling in postlesson notes.
