Product Development Specialist (Retail Products) 18month contract About the Role TJX Canada Winners, Marshalls, HomeSense is seeking a creative and trendsavvy professional to support our privatelabel strategy. The role involves designing seasonal trends, developing sourcing packs, and collaborating with merchants and business partners to influence product decisions in a fastpaced retail environment. Responsibilities Design seasonal trends and products; create related sourcing packs aligned with the offprice model and merchant objectives. Conduct research and analysis on market trends for style, color, and material selection for privatelabel brand strategy; attend domestic and competitive shops to stay current. Monitor instore product to identify additional opportunities. Participate in competitive shop planning and sample display presentations; leverage information to support trend research and requirement development. Build strong relationships with merchants and collaborate closely with business partners. Use influence skills to build buyin and support from key stakeholders. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in the retail industry. Strong sense of fashion and color, especially in home trends and product design. Advanced computer skills in Adobe Creative Suite CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and MS Office. Deep understanding of product design principles and best practices; strong aesthetic vision. Excellent organizational skills, able to manage details, prioritize, and meet deadlines under limited supervision.
