What Youll Do The Registered Practical Nurse performs the functions of a Registered Practical Nurse by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating all assigned resident care in collaboration with a Registered Nurse, according to established standards, policies and procedures. What Were Looking For Education & Experience Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse Certificate in Administration of Medication & Aseptic Procedures from a recognized college/institution Experience in a long Term Care setting Knowledge of pertinent Long Term Care legislation Post graduate courses in Gerontology, Physical Assessment or related/equivalent courses are an asset, as is experience with classification/documentation Skills & Abilities Effective oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills, with emphasis on diplomacy and tact Welldeveloped organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work interdependently What We Offer Competitive Wages: $36.50 per hour 100% Employer Paid Health Benefits Dental Benefits Paid Vacation OMERS pension with equal employer match $1000 Signing Bonus Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) Professional development opportunities Employee recognition programs This position is governed by the terms and conditions outlined in the collective agreement between UNIFOR and the County of Bruce.
