In this role, youll collaborate with brilliant minds and contribute to high-profile projects that make a real difference in communities nationwide.We are seeking a Transportation Planning Engineer ready to assume a Project Manager role and meaningfully contribute to a team working on a broad variety of transportation planning and engineering projects across Canada.This position is on-site in Winnipeg and is not remote. We welcome applications from candidates across Canada and the United States and offer relocation assistance.Your ImpactCollaborate on exciting projects, from data collection and analysis to reporting and supporting your team on in-field and in-office technical tasks.Apply best practices and identify innovative solutions in active transportation master planning and design assignments, engineering analyses, and studies for multi-modal transportation, transit, and traffic projects.Develop progressive experience in project management and coordination, preparing you for leadership opportunities.Work with a multi-disciplinary team including transportation/traffic engineers, planners, designers, and landscape architects.Prepare and oversee technical memos and reports to communicate results and recommendations that influence project decisions.Engage with clients and communities through meetings and public consultations.The Skills That Set You ApartA passion for transportation and designing multi-modal solutions that improve safety and connectivity.Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Transportation Engineering and a P.Eng license.58+ years of experience in transportation engineering and planning, including transportation impact assessments, active transportation infrastructure design, and project management.Proficiency in transportation software and methods (e.g., Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, Sidra, VISSIM, VISTRO, Aimsun) and strong technical writing skills.Experience in traffic operations and site analysis, with the ability to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions.A collaborative mindset and leadership skills to manage projects and client relationships effectively.Why Choose WSP?We exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
