Reporting to the Deputy CFO, you will support the development, implementation and maintenance of the case costing initiative and ensure all reporting requirements are met. You will support the hospitals information and analysis needs by analyzing, interpreting and reporting clinical information on both a regular and ad-hoc basis to meet internal and external reporting requirements. You will provide insight in the use of case costing data for operational and strategic decision making through various analytic avenues.Requirements: Undergraduate Degree (Commerce/Accounting/Health Care Administration/ Business Administration) preferred. Designated Chartered Professional Accountant and in good standing. 2 years of experience with Ontario Case Costing methodology and submission process. Excellent knowledge of the OHRS (MIS) Guidelines as prepared by the MOHLTC preferred. 5+ years of related work experience including variance analysis, financial accounting, financial reporting, data interpretation, forecasting, planning and budgeting. Experience in a Health Care setting preferred. Exceptional technical skills related to working with large data sets Experience with Case Mix and HIG Methodology, DAD & NACRS, OMHRS, CCRS and NRS Working knowledge of Harris Affinity software (formerly MedAsset). Knowledge of the data stored in hospital source systems with extraction and manipulation skills Knowledge of SQL and relational databases Advanced experience in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel, Access, MS SQL Server Management Studio Extensive knowledge of data quality methodologies Experience preparing analyses of operational, clinical and quality measures Demonstrated experience in designing and developing standard and ad-hoc reports Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with strong attention to details Demonstrate ability to multi-task with an eye for detail within a fast-paced environment Demonstrate a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues, volunteers and other members of the community and public Demonstrates values consistent with SHNs Code of Conduct and is committed to fostering a healthy and positive work environment in accordance with Health & Safety policy and legislation.
