Job Description

True North Sports + Entertainment is seeking a passionate and people-centered professional to join our People & Culture team as an Employee Experience Administrator. The Employee Experience Administrator supports initiatives that enhance employee engagement, workplace culture and overall employee experience. This role provides administrative support for employee programs, internal communications and workplace events, helping to foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive environment. What to be excited for in this role: Employee Experience Support the development and execution of internal company events such as employee appreciation events, team-building activities, wellness initiatives, organizational updates/meetings and holiday celebrations. Track event participation and gather feedback to improve future programs and initiatives. Coordinate event logistics, including venue bookings, catering, budgets, and event schedules. Assist with employee recognition programs, milestone celebrations, and appreciation initiatives. Maintain records, budgets, invoices, and participation data related to employee events/programs. Collaborate with other departments to support employee engagement initiatives and organizational culture. Contribute to initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture. Support internal promotion of employee initiatives through internal communication platforms and channels. Administrative Support Coordinate calendars and schedules for employee engagement activities. Provide administrative support for reporting needs. Assist with preparing and distributing internal communications related to employee programs and initiatives. Reception Support Provide temporary front desk reception relief to ensure smooth office operations. Greeting and welcome visitors, clients, and employees in a professional and friendly manner. Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate departments or individuals. Respond to general inquiries in person, by phone, or via email. Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages. Assist with outgoing mail, courier services, and deliveries. Maintain visitor logs and issue visitor badges when required. Assist in maintaining a welcoming and organized workplace environment for employees and visitors. What we need from you: Diploma or degree in Event Management, Business Administration, or related field experience. Minimum of 13 years of event coordination experience, including planning, organizing logistics, coordinating vendors, and supporting event execution. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn new technologies and software as required. Proficiency in using Canva for creating visual materials is an asset. Experience supporting HR operations or general administrative tasks is an asset. Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work with the utmost of discretion and confidentiality adhering to strong professional ethics. Must be able to communicate effectively with dynamic personalities and stakeholders at all levels while maintaining a positive, customer-focused attitude. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and competing deadlines while remaining self-motivated and receptive to direction. Highly detail-oriented with a focus on quality, accuracy, and accountability; a dependable and reliable team member. Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills; ability to anticipate and address issues proactively. Exceptional active listening and research skills with a determined and ambitious mindset. Self-starter with the ability to take initiative, be highly motivated, outgoing, and eager to learn new things. Flexible schedule Must be available to work a limited number of evenings as necessary.
