The Project Management Officer is responsible for establishing, managing, and continuously improving project management capabilities across the Foundation. This role will develop and implement standardized project management tools, processes, and methodologies while supporting and coaching staff across departments to successfully plan, execute, and deliver projects that advance our mission. Key Accountabilities Develop and implement standardized project management methodologies, processes, templates, and tools across the organization. Support the implementation and adoption of a unified project management software platform. Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and organizational project maturity. Ensure consistent application of project management standards across all projects. Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes based on best practices and organizational needs. Provide project updates and performance reporting to leadership as required. Coaching, Training & Organizational Development Assess the current project management capabilities across the organization. Collaborate with departments and stakeholders to understand project management needs and challenges. Develop and deliver training and coaching programs for project managers and project team members. Provide oneonone and group coaching in areas such as project planning, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and communication. Mentor staff on best practices to strengthen project execution and ontime delivery. Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement in project management practices. Act as a trusted advisor to project teams navigating complex challenges. Project Oversight & Support Provide guidance to project managers throughout the project lifecycle. Review project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards. Identify and elevate potential risks and issues when necessary. Facilitate project postmortems and lessons learned sessions to support continuous improvement. Performance & Success Indicators Success in this role looks like: Strengthened project management capabilities across the Foundation. Increased number of projects delivered on time and aligned with organizational priorities. High levels of stakeholder satisfaction with project delivery and outcomes. Strong adoption of standardized project management methodologies, tools, and templates. Improved planning, risk management, and problemsolving across project teams. Reduced project delays, escalations, and rework through proactive project oversight and support. Required Knowledge, Experience & Competencies Minimum 3+ years of progressive experience in project management . Proven experience coaching or mentoring individuals and teams to improve processes and performance. Strong understanding of project management methodologies, processes, and reporting. Experience using project management tools and software. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities. Experience supporting organizational change and improvement initiatives. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence across different levels of an organization. Experience developing and delivering training or professional development programs. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment. Strong collaboration, leadership, and relationshipbuilding skills. Assets Experience working in healthcare philanthropy or nonprofit organizations. PMP, CAPM, Lean Six Sigma , or other project management or process improvement certifications. Postsecondary education in a relevant field.
