Overview We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to support early-stage site preparation and earthworks activities for a major project. This role is part of Work Stream 1, focusing on initial site development. The ideal candidate is a handson field professional with deep experience in earthworks, heavy equipment operations, water management, and civil site sequencing. This is not a design or officebased rolethis position requires strong practical knowledge and leadership in the field. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee site preparation and earthworks operations from project start through early construction phases Coordinate and manage earthmoving activities, including excavation, grading, and material placement Develop and execute plans for water management, including drainage, dewatering, and erosion control Supervise field crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators to ensure safe and efficient operations Plan and manage construction sequencing for civil site development Ensure optimal utilization of heavy equipment and resources on site Monitor site conditions and adjust plans to maintain productivity and schedule Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to track progress and resolve field issues Required Qualifications 15+ years of experience in construction, with a strong focus on earthworks and site preparation Proven experience working in fieldbased roles (e.g., Equipment Operator, Foreman, Superintendent) Strong understanding of: Earthmoving techniques (''how to move dirt'') Site grading and excavation Water management and drainage systems Handson experience with heavy construction equipment Demonstrated ability to lead crews and manage field operations effectively Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (nice to have, not required) Experience working on largescale infrastructure or civil projects Raise is an established hiring firm with over 65 years of experience.
