You will be part of a growing team of cybersecurity professionals that value transparent communication, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and support innovation while achieving information security risk targets and delivering on the security program obligations. We are looking for a dynamic professional to act as the technical lead of cybersecuritys Data Security Posture Management program, including tool implementation, governance frameworks, and operating models for data loss risk management at EDC. This role reports to the Director, Cybersecurity Operations & Engineering. What You Will Be Doing Establish, implement and continuously improve KPIs and metrics aligned to functional and corporate objectives and OKRs for data security. Identify opportunities for investment and implementation of technical solutions fit for purpose to EDCs defined needs. Work with infrastructure and application teams to integrate data security measures into operations. Promote Secure by Design as a delivery principle. Partner with technology and managed service providers to support data security capability implementation, and mature monitoring and response capabilities with the operations team. Build new posture capabilities across applications, data, infrastructure, and cloud assets. Lead the program execution of multiple data security projects, including management reporting, vendor performance, risk & issue tracking, and deliverable acceptance to operations. Serve as a subject matter expert on data-related programs, whether led by EIS or where EIS is engaged to support. Stay informed of emerging cybersecurity threats and provide leadership with strategic enhancements to services. Liaise with external agencies (e.g., Government of Canada and cyber advisory bodies) to maintain strong data security capabilities relative to peers. What We Are Looking For Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Management Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent experience in lieu of education. Minimum of 10 years hands-on program management experience in data domains, incorporating Secure by Design practices. Minimum 3 years experience in an outsourced IT environment, client or vendor side. Proficiency in configuring and managing Microsoft Purview data protection features, such as DLP policies, endpoint protection, and risk assessment tools. Experience managing secure application deployment and maintenance in a hybrid enterprise environment. Knowledge of adversaries methods to attack IT platforms and automated information systems. Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams. Ability to translate between technical and business contexts. Working knowledge of ITIL and Agile principles; understanding backlogs and how to influence them. Experience operating or managing Microsoft Purview and adjacent components in the M365 E5 stack. What Will Make You Stand Out Microsoft Certified: Information Security Administrator or other Microsoft security certifications. Experience managing program finances, including burn rate, accruals, forecasting, and variance reporting. Experience working with offshore technical staff, with a focus on communication and performance management. Bilingual in English and French. Eligibility EDC is dedicated to fair employment practices.
