Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Bilingual Finance Integration Lead to support the end-to-end execution of finance integration for strategic acquisitions. This role is critical in aligning financial requirements post-acquisition with a focus on accounting system integration and conversion, acquisition accounting including purchase price adjustments and related corporate taxes, and providing consulting-style project support to drive results. The ideal candidate brings strong acquisition accounting expertise, accounting system proficiency, and crossfunctional experience with strong bilingual (English/French) communication skills and ability to travel frequently / as needed. Key Responsibilities Lead accounting system integration and conversion between legacy accounting system and Sage 300. Comfortable working within financial systems to perform data migrations and integrations. Reconcile trial balances from legacy accounting system to change of control financial statements; increasing complexity based on number of legal entities acquired. Support Controllers by executing bookings and entries during integrations, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Effectively communicate changes made to the books to Controllers and other stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment. Support preparation of purchase price accounting including identification and valuation of assets and liabilities and supporting documentation and reconciliations. Coordinate with thirdparty valuation specialists as needed. Collaborate with local accounting teams and corporate integration resources including Legal, Tax, Fleet Management and Operations. Ensure proper recording of purchase accounting journal entries at acquired entity, acquiring entity, and amalgamated entity levels at time of acquisition and through integration period. Support assessment of postclose purchase price adjustments for working capital and debt; support dispute resolution processes including thirdparty arbitration where necessary. Build strong working relationships across finance teams and stakeholders, demonstrating confidence in financial reporting and analysis. Interpret financial data to form opinions and recommendations, share these with applicable parties, and implement changes to drive integration objectives forward. Qualifications CPA designation required; CBV Designation is an asset 7+ years of experience in acquisition accounting or related consulting project work. Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) or other generally accepted accounting principles used in Canada, with demonstrated experience in acquisition accounting. Demonstrated proficiency with accounting systems (Sage 300 an asset) and MS Excel. Comfortable working within financial systems to execute migrations, integrations, and reporting changes. Ability to interpret financials, create recommendations, and implement system and reporting changes effectively. Experience in the waste management and environmental services sectors is an asset. Experience working with crossfunctional teams. Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to meet multiple postacquisition deadlines. Strong relationshipbuilding skills with the ability to communicate complex financial changes clearly. Bilingual (English/French) is required. Ability to travel frequently / as needed.
