Key Responsibilities Deliver assigned tasks, subsystems, or work packages with increasing autonomy and accountability. Leverage your handson experience to diagnose issues and implement practical, valuedriven solutions. Partner closely with senior team members and project leads to deliver results. Contribute to planning, design reviews, and delivery discussions with a focus on scope, quality, and outcomes. Assist with testing, implementation, commissioning, troubleshooting, or deployment activities as relevant to the role. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and, when applicable, customers or external partners. Adhere to company standards, processes, and safety or quality requirements. Qualifications and Experience Postsecondary degree in Engineering from a recognized engineering faculty or equivalent qualification. 35 years experience in the Automation industry as an Engineer or Technologist, technically delivering on projects. Proven track record in the design, procurement, programming, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of control systems. A proven selfstarter with a positive, cando attitude who is motivated by solving complex challenges. Strong clientfocused approach, dedicated to providing exceptional client experiences to our internal and external customers. Ability to multitask, exercise good judgment and prioritize workload through outstanding organisational skills. Clear verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment. Willingness to travel or adjust work hours as required for the role; Controls Specialists at Convergix should have the ability to travel within the US and Canada. Desirable Experience in Food & Beverage, Automotive or Agriculture industry. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to engage, motivate and develop a team to achieve results. Experience in the any of the following platforms and/or technologies: PLCs: Rockwell, Siemens HMIs: Rockwell Plant PAX, Aveva InTouch/OMI Instrumentation VFDs and Servos Network design and implementation Physical Demands While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk and hear. Occasionally lifts or move up to 25 pounds.
