Baker Tilly RSG is seeking a CPA Articling Student - Assurance Compilations and Tax to join our team, specializing in general practice services for non-profit and privately held organizations. The role focuses on ASPE and ASNPO-compliant financial reporting, Canadian tax compliance, and year-end engagements. Youll prepare review and compilation files, prepare personal and corporate tax returns, and provide entry-level, practical guidance to clients. Key Responsibilities Plan and execute entry to intermediate-level compilation and review engagements, including financial statements and applicable tax filings, ensuring deadlines are met Prepare entry to intermediate-level personal income tax returns and related schedules Respond to client inquiries professionally and promptly Manage project timelines, budgets, billing, and work-in-progress Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to continuously improve technical and soft skills Collaborate with team members to maintain or improve efficient internal processes What you bring to the table Strong desire and dedication to work and learn in a dynamic work environment Excellent communication and analytical skills Proficiency with MS Word and Excel Required Skills and Qualifications Accounting degree and an intention to complete a CPA designation Strong understanding of ASPE, ASNPO, PSAS and Canadian tax fundamentals Previous experience in public practice accounting an asset Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively to resolve client issues Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Comfortable using Microsoft 365 and other relevant applications Whats in it for you? Job type Full-time, Permanent Your schedule Monday to Friday Working Conditions The CPA articling student will be required to work in an office environment. They will be required to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer for extended periods of time. They may also be required to travel occasionally for training or meetings.
