Overview of Role The Vice President, Business Development is a pivotal senior leadership role responsible for shaping and advancing Groupexs growth strategy in support of Canadas independent foodservice community. The role focuses on strategic business development initiatives and oversees the direction of supplier partnerships and relations, sourcing strategies, and valuedriven programs that strengthen Groupexs market position and deepen member impact. This role works closely with an integral executive team as well as staff, the VP provides insight and guidance on opportunities that enhance competitiveness, elevate member value, and respond to shifting industry dynamics. This role is more matrix management requiring strong influencing skills across all lines of business. Key Skills & Qualifications 10+ years of experience in business development with a strong understanding of strategic partnerships and proven ability to deliver costsaving solutions for stakeholders. Preferably in food service but open to other analogous sectors. Proven track record of developing and executing successful sourcing and business development strategies. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationshipbuilding skills. Experienced working in a matrix environment with crossfunctional influence. Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment. Techsavvy and comfortable working with relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, ERP systems). Bachelor''''s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field. Post graduate degree in business or related.
