Were looking for an IT Student to join our head office located in Vernon, British Columbia for a 4-month or 8-month work term. Our head office houses Tolkos corporate services groups including Sales, Marketing & Logistics, Finance, Accounting & Credit, IT, Procurement and Human Resources. Qualifications - Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Information Services/Information Technology program or have graduated in the last 12 months in this field. - Strong desire to expand their learning within data and analytics. - Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. - Strong organizational and analytical skills. - Ability to work independently. - An introduction with at least one of the following is required: - SQL - Azure - Python - SSIS / Visual Studio - SSAS / Tabular Models - Data Warehousing Strategies and Methodologies - ETL Methodologies - Microsoft Power BI - Machine Learning / Predictive Analytics We value diversity at Tolko and know that experience and knowledge come in many forms. Responsibilities - Work as a team member on the Business Intelligence and Analytics Team to support all facets of Tolkos business. - Investigate and resolve issues submitted by the business. - Support the modification and build of new data pipelines on various platforms including SQL Server, and Azure. - Support various internal teams including Woodlands, Manufacturing, Export, and Logistics, Sales and Finance users to deliver excellent customer service. - Gain insight on multiple facets of Tolkos business.
