Location: Owen Sound, Ontario. Type: In the Office. Our team is looking for a Technical Fire Alarm Specialist to join our Owen Sound, ON branch! In this role, the successful candidate will provide sales support for multiple brands of life safety products to Canadian and International markets. This role involves supporting our national sales team with product solutions, codes & standards interpretations, new product releases, sales trainings, life safety industry product and code presentations, and more. Responsibilities Maintain part numbers in ERP system Be knowledgeable about major competitors and their primary products Create technically written support documents for engineering product specifications Suggest product and code content to be utilized in website promotion, social media, TIPs, Pitch Sheets and RFP submittals by engaging with the Marketing Team Assist in onboarding and product training programs for new sales/service personnel Create PowerPoint Presentations for sales training as well as end-user product presentations Monitor market level pricing and make recommendations on pricing levels to product/marketing managers Research, prepare and recommend contract and distributor level pricing Research and prepare new product definitions Maintain company SharePoint site with current content on product, codes, promotions and general sales support Ensure product demos are in good working order and track and coordinate branch demo requests Support company trade shows and sales meetings with presentations, demos and technical support Other related duties as assigned Qualifications Graduate of Electronic or Electrical Technology/Fire Protection Technology or equivalent experience Technical background with superior written and oral skills Ability to collaborate and work effectively within a team li>Proficient in Math and Excel skills Proficient in technical writing and communication ERP experience considered a strong asset Knowledge of ULC standards and building codes Technical fire alarm expertise considered an asset Knowledge of the fire and life safety industry sales, marketing, distribution Wage: $76,000 to $85,000 per annum Why Work with Troy?
