Job Description

Oversee and manage the end-to-end Canadian payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. Assess existing payroll procedures, controls, and workflows; recommend and implement best practices to improve efficiency, compliance, and accuracy. Support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of ADP payroll software, including testing, data validation, and process documentation. Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure payroll data (e.g., Ensure compliance with Canadian payroll legislation, including federal and provincial requirements, tax withholdings, statutory deductions, and year-end reporting (T4s, ROEs, etc.). Review payroll reports and reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. Maintain and improve payroll policies, procedures, and documentation. Serve as a subject matter resource for payroll-related questions from employees and management. Support internal and external audits related to payroll records and processes. Assist with payroll reporting, analytics, and process improvement initiatives. Coordinate with benefits administrators and accounting teams to ensure accurate payroll deductions and reconciliations. Provide training or guidance to internal staff on payroll processes and systems as needed. Participate in system upgrades, payroll integrations, and other finance/HR system initiatives. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across payroll operations and related administrative processes. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned. 8-10 years of experience in payroll including process analysis ~ Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individuals skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
