This role will directly impact student experience by improving exam scheduling accuracy, accessibility, and operational efficiency across the institution. Youll collaborate with a cross-functional team including developers, business analysts, and accessibility stakeholders to deliver both technical upgrades and meaningful product enhancements. This is a hands-on role where your work will influence system reliability, security, and usability during high-impact academic periods. Your Responsibilities Youll lead modernization efforts, upgrading PHP, Symfony, and system dependencies to supported versions In this role, youll design and implement new scheduling and accommodation features with complex business logic Youll oversee CI/CD pipelines, secure deployments, and DevSecOps best practices Youll optimize system performance, database queries, and scalability for peak usage periods Youll collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and maintain documentation Skills and Qualifications 8+ years of experience developing and modernizing PHP applications; 5+ years in Symfony (including at least 3 successful framework/runtime upgrade projects). Demonstrated experience operating secure, production web applications (hardening, patching, secrets management, SSO/OAuth/SAML integrations TBD).
