The Department of Psychology at the University of Alberta is seeking an individual to fulfil an 8 month (September to April) term lecturer position, recurrent for 3 years.Location - This role is in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton.The Department of Psychology serves approximately 21,000 undergraduate students per year, including 4300 students enrolled in Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science programs with Psychology as their declared major or minor. In addition, the Department offers Masters and PhD programs.The Department of Psychology, Faculty of Science, at the University of Alberta is accepting applications for an 8 month (September to April) term lecturer position, recurrent for 3 years, that will include 100% Teaching and Teaching Related Activities. The applicant is expected to teach 6 courses. The applicant may teach one to six courses each year to international students who are beginning their studies in the Faculty of Arts Foundation Program, in addition to regular department course offerings for undergraduate students.Courses the contract lecturer may be asked to teach may vary, and may include, for example:PSYCH 104 Basic Psychological Processes (Science)PSYCH 258 Cognitive Psychology (Science)PSYCH 275 Brain and Behaviour (Science)PSYCH 282 Behaviour Modification (Science)PSYCH 304 History of Modern Psychology (Science)PSYCH 367 Perception (Science)This position requires primarily in-person teaching and teaching-related activities, on the University Campus, to facilitate students learning and progress through their degree program as well as the operational needs of the Faculty.The position start date is September 1, 2026.
