Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer (P.Eng.) with 5+ years of industry experience to join our growing team in the GTA. This role is ideal for a technically strong, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment and brings strong project and file management capabilities alongside engineering expertise. You will manage a portfolio of forensic investigation files from intake through to reporting, while working closely with clients, insurers, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Engineering & Technical Work Conduct structural investigations related to property damage, failures, and insurance losses (fire, water, impact, weather-related, etc.) Perform site inspections and assess the structural integrity of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings Analyze building systems, materials, and construction practices Prepare clear, concise, and defensible engineering reports for insurance and legal purposes Provide expert opinions and support for litigation where required Project & File Management Manage multiple files simultaneously from assignment through to closure Maintain accurate documentation, timelines, and deliverables across all projects Ensure deadlines, budgets, and client expectations are consistently met Coordinate with internal teams, including other engineering disciplines and administrative support Track billable hours and contribute to profitability targets Client & Business Development Build and maintain strong relationships with adjusters, insurers, and legal professionals Communicate effectively with clients regarding findings, timelines, and scope Support business development initiatives, including client meetings, presentations, and seminars Qualifications & Experience Required Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario (or eligible) 5+ years of structural engineering experience (forensic or consulting experience preferred) Strong knowledge of: Building codes and standards (OBC, CSA, etc.) Failure analysis and investigative methodologies Proven project and file management experience in a multi-project environment Excellent report writing and technical communication skills Valid drivers license and ability to travel to sites across the GTA Preferred / Assets Experience in forensic engineering or insurance-related investigations Familiarity with building envelope issues and construction defects Experience working with insurers, adjusters, or legal teams #J-18808-Ljbffr
