The Operations Manager oversees daily farm and facility maintenance operations, ensuring all systems, equipment, and infrastructure run efficiently and reliably. This role is responsible for staff leadership, maintenance planning, crossdepartmental coordination, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Base Salary Range: $70,000 $90,000 Comprehensive Benefits Package Opportunity to work for a continuously growing organization What Youll Be Responsible For: Leading day-to-day maintenance activities, including scheduling, task assignment, preventative maintenance, alarms, and troubleshooting. Maintaining strong communication with internal teams, vendors, customers, and consultants. Providing regular operational KPI and status reports to the CEO. Collaborating with Production and Growing teams to prioritize maintenance aligned with crop cycles and facility needs. Overseeing maintenance across all facilities, including farm and Cogen systems (climate control, irrigation/fertigation, environmental monitoring, boilers, mechanical, water treatment), vehicles, equipment, housing, and grounds. Managing P&L responsibilities for the Maintenance Department, including labour and operational expenses. Coordinating with Purchasing and the Crib Attendant to optimize equipment organization, parts planning, sourcing, and cost efficiency. Participating in the on-call rotation and responding to after-hours emergencies and critical system failures. Training, mentoring, and coaching team members in equipment operation, safety practices, and maintenance procedures. Partnering with supervisors and HR on labour planning, recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and training for both local and offshore staff. Supporting budgeting and cost oversight for maintenance operations, supplies, and equipment needs. Recommending capital improvements and long-term infrastructure upgrades. Performing regular facility inspections and ensuring adherence to internal and external safety and regulatory standards. The Ideal Candidate: Post-secondary degree in Business, Operations, or other related disciplines. 5+ years of proven leadership experience with a track record of guiding teams effectively. Strong timemanagement skills with the ability to multitask and pivot effectively. High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Skilled in leading meetings, providing clear instructions, and communicating effectively across teams. Strong relationshipbuilding skills with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders. High level of personal accountability and ability to foster accountability in others.
