Our client, a highly respected law firm, is seeking a Junior Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team. Responsibilities Provide administrative support to lawyers within the litigation group Draft, format, and revise legal documents including pleadings, correspondence, and court materials Coordinate service and filing of court documents through Ontario courts and e-filing systems Maintain and organize electronic and physical files Manage calendars, including scheduling meetings, discoveries, and court dates Track limitation periods and ensure key deadlines are met Prepare document briefs, motion materials, and assist with trial preparation Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff Handle general administrative tasks including scanning, filing, and document management Requirements Minimum 3 + years of experience as a legal assistant in civil or commercial litigation Strong understanding of Ontario court procedures and rules Excellent document formatting and proofreading skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems Compensation Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000 Hybrid work model (3 days in office, downtown Toronto) Comprehensive benefits package Supportive and collaborative team environment with opportunities for growth within the litigation practice.
