What Youll Do Lead, develop and continuously improve the companys Health and Safety Program Provide safety leadership and support across multiple commercial job sites involving glazing, cladding, roofing and waterproofing work Conduct regular site inspections, hazard assessments and safety audits to ensure compliance and best practices across diverse trade activities Work closely with project managers, site supervisors and field crews to proactively identify and mitigate risks specific to building envelope work at heights and complex access conditions Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action planning Develop and deliver safety training, toolbox talks and onboarding for new employees and site teams Monitor and track safety performance metrics, trends and continuous improvement initiatives Support return-to-work and modified duties programs in collaboration with HR and leadership Foster a strong, visible safety presence on job sites and promote a culture of accountability and communication What You Bring to the Team 5+ years of Health and Safety experience in construction, ideally within commercial roofing, glazing, cladding, waterproofing or similar building envelope trades Proven experience conducting site inspections, investigations and safety training in active construction environments Recognized Health and Safety designation or certification (CRSP, CSO, NCSO or equivalent) preferred Strong understanding of working at heights, fall protection and access-related risks Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence field crews, supervisors and leadership Strong documentation, reporting and organizational skills Valid Class 5 drivers license and ability to travel to job sites across the Lower Mainland Confident, proactive and comfortable being present on job sites regularly
