Position Title Specialist Senior Server Infrastructure Department: Infrastructure & Data Centre Operations Reports to: Supervisor Servers, Exchange & Databases Infrastructure Main Deliverables Design, implement, and operate secure, scalable, and highly available onprem and cloud server infrastructure Lead deployment, automation, monitoring, and lifecycle management of Windows, Exchange, Linux, and Azure environments Provide Level 3 technical ownership for server infrastructure, including performance optimization, security, DR, and capacity planning Technical Stack Operating Systems & Platforms: Windows Server 2022/2019 (Datacenter, Azure Edition Gen2 Hotpatch) Exchange Server 2019/2016, Exchange Online Linux (various distributions) Cloud & Virtualization: Microsoft Azure (IaaS, VM encryption with CMK) VMware vSphere Hypervisor Identity & Core Services: Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Kerberos, NTLM, RADIUS Automation & IaC: PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible SCCM (patching & OS deployment), Resolve or equivalent Monitoring & Operations: SCOM, SolarWinds or equivalent Security & Encryption: BitLocker (OS-level), Azure VM encryption (CMK), access controls Networking & Load Balancing: TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs F5 LTM/GTM, NGINX Plus Storage & Backup: SAN, iSCSI, NFS, HCI, Object Storage Backup & Recovery solutions for Windows & Exchange Containers & Databases: Docker, Kubernetes MSSQL, PostgreSQL Hardware & Other (Assets): Cisco UCS Data center power distribution knowledge Requirements University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT , or equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years designing, implementing, and supporting Windows & Exchange Server environments, including HA, DR, security, and failover 5+ years hands-on experience with: Windows Server & Exchange administration Active Directory and core Microsoft infrastructure services SCCM-based patching and OS deployment Monitoring and troubleshooting Windows, Exchange, and Linux systems 2+ years experience with: Azure cloud services and Azure-hosted Windows/Exchange workloads VMware vSphere Linux administration Load balancers (F5, NGINX) Databases (MSSQL or PostgreSQL) Proven experience with: Infrastructure automation and IaC (PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible) Server security hardening and encryption (onprem and cloud) Storage technologies in datacenter and cloud environments Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning Migrating Windows & Exchange workloads to Azure Certifications preferred: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Expert, Microsoft 365, Azure/Hybrid Administration Experience with Microsoft vendor management is preferred Responsibilities Design and implement server infrastructure solutions across Windows, Exchange, Linux, Azure, and cloud platforms Lead deployment, configuration, automation, and provisioning of VMs, storage, networking, and infrastructure services Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability Own capacity, availability, and lifecycle planning for server infrastructure Implement and maintain security controls in alignment with organizational and industry standards Provide Level 3 escalation support , including root cause analysis and permanent remediation Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, as-built diagrams, and knowledge articles Create and validate disaster avoidance and recovery plans Collaborate with crossdisciplinary IT teams to deliver endtoend infrastructure solutions Support procurement activities including budgeting, forecasting, and vendor engagement Mentor and provide technical guidance to intermediate and junior infrastructure staff
