The team you are joining: The team you will be joining is the Hotspex team located in Toronto. On our team, you will have exposure to improving and implementing new processes and reimagining our methodologies and their applications. What will I be doing? As a Research Manager, your main responsibilities will include: Participate in research activities: Understanding the clients business needs. Working with the research team to translate those needs into research solutions Creation of sample plan and costing to support proposal development. Determining and communicating necessary analytics, developing analysis requirements, and analyzing data. Translating research objectives and key business questions into comprehensive, well-structured questionnaires. Create analysis plan and initial storyline. Generating reports for delivery to clients following the Hotspex Way. Act as the primary owner of the research process and champion best practices and research rigor. Provide input into the ongoing development of the research department and direction of Hotspex. Project/team management: Effectively and efficiently execute multiple projects from study design to completed report/presentation. Working with other departments/teams to coordinate project flow. Ensure fieldwork is completed on time and on budget. Being a resource for junior team members, support and guide them through the project Mastery of the Hotspex Suite of Tools. Opportunities for managing junior team members and coaching with oversight from the Director. Operating as a point of contact for clients: Socializing results with clients. Providing regular updates to clients regarding project progress. Professionally answering questions and concerns. Managing client expectations and inquiries in an efficient manner. Ownership of timely completion of project deliverables. Providing expertise on research and analysis decisions. What do I need to bring with me? Essential: Demonstrated over 4 years of experience managing research projects throughout the entire project cycle, from design to data analysis and reporting. Excellent quantitative research skills and ability to work on projects and day-to-day deliverables. Attention to detail, organized and solutions-focused. Solution-focused time management skills, working across multiple projects, and prioritizing tasks efficiently. Ability to deliver quality work under tight deadlines, excellent analysis and interpretation skills to decode complex qualitative and quantitative data to arrive at clear insights and narratives that aid the clients decision-making. Excellent communication skills verbal and written, with experience in preparing presentations and written reports in English. Proven ability to work well in teams, Proficiency in MS Office tools Non-negotiable: Proficiency in SPSS and other statistical analysis software.
