The Opportunity Strategic Controller (CFOLevel Capabilities) The Strategic Controller role goes beyond traditional controllership. MTM is seeking a handson finance leader who can provide strategic financial insight, enforce cashflow discipline, partner crossfunctionally, and build a finance function capable of supporting rapid scale. The ideal individual for this position will come equipped with the knowledge, skills and abilities to: Improve gross margins and progress toward MTMs longterm net margin targets. Predict cash flow and reduce working capital strain. Deliver accurate, datadriven reporting that enables leaders to run the business without firefighting. Provide a mature, scalable financial function capable of supporting MTMs aggressive growth. Reduced reliance on CEO/GM for financial oversight and decisionmaking. The Individual must also have extensive experience in the following areas of responsibility (AORs): Financial Strategy : Longrange planning, business cases, pricing, and margin strategy. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system: Implementation and development. Financial Operations : Fullcycle accounting, controls, audit readiness, tax coordination. Brief Summary of the Positions'''' Primary Responsibilities 1. Strategic Finance & Planning Lead financial strategy, annual operating plans, rolling forecasts, and multiyear modelling to support ARR growth - service roadmap, margin improvement, and Houston expansion. Build business cases for new initiatives and ensure financial alignment to MTMs models. 2. Cash Flow & Working Capital Ownership Own cash flow model, liquidity planning, milestone billing enforcement, vendor term strategies, and inventory discipline. Ensure major projects operate cash neutral or cash positive and track performance against cash flow levers. Oversee fullcycle accounting through the finance team (AR, AP, payroll, job costing, GL accuracy). Implement and maintain strong internal controls aligned to ISO processes and MTMs shift to platformbased production. Deliver timely, accurate monthly financial statements and executive dashboards. 4. Operational Finance Partnership Support costing, BOM accuracy, change control pricing, and margin protection with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Project Management. Partner with Service/Lifecycle teams to build scalable service pricing, cost structures, and recurring revenue models. Lead and upskill the existing 3person accounting team to meet MTMs futurestate needs. Coach leaders across MTM in financial literacy, discipline, and datadriven decisionmaking. Strengthen financial alignment between the CEO, GM, and Finance. Required Experience, Education and Qualifications Required: * Minimum of 8 years of finance leadership experience. Required: A Valid Class 5F driver''''s license. Required: Clear Criminal Record Check. Required: Ability to operate at a CFO level while remaining handson. Required: Experience scaling finance teams and systems. Required: Strong cost accounting, project finance, and cashflow expertise.
