Avanciers Incorporated is hiring a Network Architect for one of our clients. Job Title : Network Architect Job Location : Edmonton, AB Employment Type : Full Time Role Compensation Range : $90,000 - $110,000 per year This is an active job and application deadline is March 26, 2026. (This posting may close earlier if a suitable candidate is found) Own end-to-end Cisco network architecture (Core, DC, Campus). Design & govern Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switching and routing environments. Manage integration of core routers, internet routers, and load balancers. Lead firewall architecture (Fortinet & legacy) including security and segmentation. Ensure high availability and zero downtime for critical applications. Operations & Support Act as L3/L4 escalation for network, firewall, routing, and voice issues. Drive RCA for major incidents and implement preventive actions. Manage change control, risk assessment, and rollback planning. Maintain 24x7 network stability, performance, and compliance. Lead onsite & offshore network teams. Define SOPs, escalation models, and ownership. Mentor engineers and align technical issues with business impact. Stakeholder Management Interface with customer IT leadership. Coordinate with vendors (Cisco, Fortinet, Avaya, ISPs). Communicate outages, risks, and resolutions clearly. Technical Environment Cisco routing & switching (DC + Campus). Core/Border/Internet routers & load balancers. Fortinet & legacy firewalls. Strong understanding of data center ecosystem (compute, storage, virtualization). Key Requirements Strong hands-on + architectural networking experience. Expertise in high availability, redundancy & resilience. Experience leading distributed teams. Preferred CCNP / CCIE.
