Walker Law is a boutique litigation firm in Toronto seeking a Litigation Associate with 46 years of experience to join our team. This is a new hybrid position created to support our growing practice with 2-3 days in office attendance required. This role is ideal for a lawyer looking to gain strong, handson advocacy experience and work closely with experienced litigators on complex matters. You will work on a variety of litigation files with a focus on property disputes, construction liens, and fraud. You will take ownership of files, attend court regularly, and independently handle key steps in the litigation process. Responsibilities Manage litigation files from start to finish Conduct examinations for discovery and other outofcourt examinations independently Draft pleadings, motion materials, and written advocacy Appear on motions and, where applicable, appellate matters (including the Court of Appeal) Work closely with senior lawyers on complex cases Support client development and contribute to firm growth Mentor junior lawyers and students Requirements 46 years of litigation experience Direct experience in property disputes, construction liens, and/or fraud Experience arguing motions; appellate experience is an asset Trial experience is an asset Strong analytical thinking and problemsolving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities We offer generous compensation and benefits package.
