Vibration Analyst POSITION OVERVIEW: The Conditional Monitoring Vibration Analyst is responsible for reviewing critical equipment health using vibration analysis and complimentary techniques (ultrasound, thermography, oil analysis). The Vibration Analyst will provide recommendations and collaborate closely with Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering teams to prevent unplanned downtime, optimize inspection intervals, and extend asset life. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: Review of critical asset conditions through operational, vibration, and ancillary data. Assist Rig Operations with maintenance and installations of conditional monitoring hardware and sensors. Collaborate with multiple departments to support equipment maintenance and inspections. Provide clear diagnostic reports with supporting evidence, severity, and actionable recommendations. Lead/ participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for relevant equipment. Assist in optimizing alarms and thresholds of equipment health states for Field Teams. Assist in developments of Conditional Monitoring Program (additional hardware, software changes). TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES: Experience in diagnostics of mechanical and electrical systems. Experience in bearing and gear fault analysis. Experience in EAM or CMMS systems is considered an asset. Strong understanding of signal processing (FFT, PSD, demodulation, filtering, order tracking). Familiarity with ISO vibration standards and API/ANSI/ASME rotating equipment standards. BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, organizational, problem solving, and communication skills. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering/Technology (or equivalent experience). Vibration Analysis Category II Certification is preferred. 2+ years experience with vibration analysis. Experience with drilling rigs or heavy equipment is preferred.
