This is not an immediate job offer. No junior applicants, please. Job Summary Fluxscopic Ltd. creates inquisitive video games with heart and meaning. We recently released our debut game, Mayhem in Single Valley, with publisher tinyBuild (Potion Craft, Hello Neighbour, and more). We are looking for talent interested in being part of a full-production application for our latest IP. Seeking a 3D Animator to rig and animate game-ready characters and environmental assets for an action exploration puzzle game built in Unity. This role is intended for animators comfortable working within real-time production pipelines and technical constraints. Selected candidates may be included in the funding proposal, with employment and compensation contingent on successful funding approval. Game Info We recently finished prototyping our new game IP, Ammonite. We are applying for full-production funding and plan to begin in Q3 or Q4 2026. We are looking for talent to include in the funding application who are interested in future work. Ammonite is an action exploration puzzle game where you control The Shell, a flying biomechanical creature that interacts with fantastical digital environments by recording and emitting light, sound, and vibration. Your mission? Infiltrate a hostile, AI-controlled virtual server to retrieve critical military files. Traverse a puzzle-laden world, battling enemies and forging alliances with peaceful entities. Upgrade abilities and access restricted zones to uncover the rogue AIs true agenda. Summary The 3D Animator will be responsible for rigging and animating non-human and mechanical characters, as well as select environmental assets, for real-time use in Unity. This includes creating efficient rigs, producing expressive and readable animation, and collaborating closely with the team to ensure animations support gameplay, performance, and visual cohesion. Responsibilities and Duties Rig non-human and mechanical characters suitable for real-time gameplay Create high-quality animations that clearly communicate movement, weight, and intent Animate character locomotion, abilities, interactions, and environmental elements Ensure rigs and animations meet performance and technical requirements Integrate and test animations within Unity, working with programmers as needed Iterate on animations based on gameplay feel, performance, and design feedback Collaborate closely with concept artists, 3D modellers, and programmers Maintain clean, organized animation files and workflows Qualifications and Skills Strong 3D animation and rigging skills with a focus on real-time game animation Deep understanding of core animation principles, timing, and motion Proven experience animating non-human and mechanical characters Experience integrating animation assets into game engines, preferably Unity Ability to balance expressive animation with technical and gameplay constraints Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. A big imagination is essential. MUST BE A TEAM PLAYER!
