About the Role: Service Technician LJ Welding Automation is seeking a Service Technician to join our Service Team. This role is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and repairing automated and electrical systems through accurate diagnostics, estimating, and service coordination. This position is ideal for an individual who possesses strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail , and who thrives in a fast-paced, technical, and production-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and estimate in-house shop repairs for automated and electrical systems. Process rental equipment returns and assess repair and service requirements. Perform and advise on electrical and automation repairs for in-house and remote service applications. Provide remote troubleshooting support for electrical and automation systems. Manage rental tracking and service documentation using Smartsheet. Collaborate with engineering, production, and service departments to ensure repairs are completed safely and correctly. Provide training to shop technicians and customers on electrical troubleshooting and automation system operation. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures during all repair activities. Desired Skills & Qualifications Education : Diploma or certificate in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field. Training : Electrical troubleshooting and PLC/automation system training. Experience : Proven experience as an Automation Technician, Electrical Technician, or similar technical service role. Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, automation controls, and the ability to read electrical schematics. Systems Knowledge : Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Smartsheet or similar service tracking tools. Industry Experience : Experience with industrial equipment and automated systems is preferred.
