The Opportunity: We are currently seeking underground Longhole Blasters / Assistants to join our Mining Client in Timmins, Ontario. This is a full-time permanent position working a rotational schedule of 14x14 and offering comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities: This individual will demonstrate the skills to prepare for long-hole blast following: Cleaning and loading holes with emulsion explosives. Learn to operate emulsion loading equipment. Loading holes with emulsion loaders and assist blaster with timing. Blasting the face and perform other duties as required and assigned by the supervisor. All tasks must be completed following company procedures, government regulations and manufacturer specifications. Requirements: Working knowledge and experience in Long Hole Blasting is an advantage. Basic UG Common Core. Licence to operate tractor/Minecat. Promotes safety and follows company procedures. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Candidate must live in the Timmins area or be willing to travel and work rotation.
