Surgo Studios is hiring a Video Production & Multimedia Specialist who understands how to make content win. This is not a role for someone who only knows how to cut clips together. We are looking for someone who knows how to build high-performing social media content, understands retention and engagement, can create strong captioning and visual hooks, and can move quickly in a fast-paced production environment. You should have real experience editing content that performs, a strong portfolio, and proof that your work has generated strong reach, engagement, or views. What youll do Edit a high volume of short-form video content for social media Create engaging captions, subtitles, text overlays, and graphic elements that improve performance Turn raw footage into content designed for attention, retention, and shares Edit occasional cinematic, branded, and corporate-style content Create graphic design assets using tools such as Canva Help shape content creatively, not just execute edits Maintain organized project files and efficient workflows under tight timelines What we need Strong video editing experience, especially for social media Clear understanding of what makes content go viral or perform at a high level Strong instincts for hooks, pacing, cuts, captions, and audience retention Graphic design capability for digital content Portfolio with strong video samples Evidence of high-performing content you have worked on Ability to work quickly, take feedback well, and maintain quality under volume Strong bonus assets Video production experience Ownership of professional camera equipment Ability to assist with production work when needed Experience working across both social-first and polished brand content Work setup Based primarily on-site at our downtown Ottawa studio at 150 Elgin Street Some flexibility for remote days Best suited for someone who wants to be in a creative, fast-moving studio environment
