THE OPPORTUNITY The P&P Coordinator is responsible for the accurate delivery and coordination of payroll while providing essential administrative support across People & Culture and HR systems. This role oversees payroll processing, maintains HRIS records, administers benefits and ensures a welcoming onboarding experience for new team members. This exciting role will contribute to smooth, people-centered operations that uphold DSMs mission, vison and values. RESPONSIBILITIES: Payroll Support Track and communicate payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, promotions, and leaves of absence for payroll updates Reviewing payroll exceptions and processing bi-weekly payroll for both Canada and US facilities Support employees with general payroll inquiries (e.g., pay schedule, vacation balances) and escalate complex issues Maintain confidentiality of all payroll and employee compensation information Prepare monthly overtime and vacation balance reports Review and make any year end T4/W2 adjustments Benefits Administration Add, update, and terminate Canadian benefits Assist in benefit renewals Update payroll system for benefit deductions People Processes Assist in pre-screening, coordinating interviews, reference checks, and offer documentation Ensure onboarding documents are completed accurately and submitted on time Maintain job descriptions and organizational charts to reflect evolving operational needs Creation and maintenance of employee badges and access fobs Participate in HR projects including implementation HRIS system Aid with all HR and administration related tasks Corporate Administration Assist with general corporate and office administration including but not limited to: Purchase Requisitions Including online order requests Ordering all office supplies, including, Staples, Uline and Amazon ordering Assisting with obtaining worker compensation clearances for all onsite contractors SCM (Supply Chain Management weekly reports) Performs other projects and duties as required by corporate departments QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma or Degree in a related discipline and 1+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience Recruitment experience is a must General knowledge of employment laws and practices Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills Experience working with ADP Workforce Now & HRIS would be an asset Self-directed and capable of performing work independently Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable learning new systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills WHAT WE OFFER: Truly rewarding work; contribute to lasting, positive change for individuals and our community Flexible schedules to help our employees manage work and life A supportive team environment and opportunities for professional development Comprehensive benefits Competitive total rewards If you possess the above qualifications and are looking for a new opportunity to advance your career within a successful and growing organization, we want to hear from you.
