Key Responsibilities 1. EndtoEnd Onboarding Ownership Own and manage the complete onboarding lifecycle from offer acceptance to postjoining stabilization. Ensure timely completion of all onboarding milestones including documentation, background verification, system access, payroll activation, and employee ID creation. Act as the single point of accountability for onboarding outcomes across Canada. 2. Stakeholder & CrossFunctional Coordination Work closely with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Payroll, Immigration, IT, Security, and Facilities to ensure Day1 readiness. Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to align onboarding plans with project and account needs. Coordinate onboarding sessions and orientations (virtual and inperson). 3. Compliance, Governance & Risk Management Ensure adherence to Canadian employment standards , data privacy, background check protocols, and internal TCS policies. Monitor onboarding risks such as delayed documentation, BGC exceptions, payroll readiness gaps, or access delays, and proactively resolve issues. Maintain auditready onboarding records and trackers. 4. Employee Experience & Engagement Deliver a consistent, inclusive, and welcoming onboarding experience aligned with TCS values and DEI commitments. Serve as a trusted point of contact for new joiners, addressing onboarding queries and escalations professionally. Continuously improve onboarding experience through feedback and process enhancements. 5. Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement Standardize onboarding processes and develop readyreckoners, checklists, and SOPs for stakeholders. Track onboarding metrics (joining SLAs, BGC timelines, payroll readiness, attrition at onboarding stage). Identify automation and digitization opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability. 6. Team & Vendor Management (if applicable) Guide and mentor onboarding coordinators or analysts. Liaise with external vendors for background checks or onboarding services, ensuring service quality and turnaround times. Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 510 years of progressive HR experience , with strong exposure to onboarding, operations, or HR shared services (Canada). Handson experience with highvolume onboarding and multistakeholder environments. Strong understanding of Canadian HR processes , payroll readiness, and compliance expectations.
