We are currently seeking an experienced Contract Event Manager based in the Greater Toronto Area to support upcoming event programs. This is a 6-month hybrid contract role , combining remote work flexibility with on-site event management and in-person planning when required. The Role The Contract Event Manager will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple event programs . This position requires a highly organized professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and understands how to translate strategy into seamless event experiences. Working closely with internal teams, clients, and external partners, the Event Manager will oversee event logistics, vendor coordination, communications, and on-site execution to ensure exceptional outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Event Planning & Execution Support the planning and delivery of a variety of events including corporate programs, social events, and internal engagements. Assist with timelines, production planning, and operational execution. Client & Event Communications Manage event correspondence including invitations, registration updates, and pre- and post-event communications. Maintain clear and professional communication with clients and stakeholders. On-Site Event Management Lead and support on-site event logistics including setup, vendor coordination, and guest experience management to ensure smooth and successful execution. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination Source and manage relationships with venues, catering teams, production partners, AV teams, and additional service providers. Ensure alignment across all partners. Event Materials & Collateral Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to coordinate event materials including signage, digital assets, promotional items, and guest materials. Manage timelines for production, shipping, and distribution. Budget & Reporting Support budget tracking, expense management, and reporting to ensure programs remain aligned with financial targets. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with leadership, marketing, and sales teams to ensure event programs support broader organizational and client objectives. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years experience in event planning or event management Strong project management skills including scheduling, logistics coordination, and vendor management Excellent communication and client relationship skills Experience managing multiple stakeholders and event timelines Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Experience managing hybrid or multi-format events is considered an asset Experience working with event technology, scheduling platforms, and project management tools Experience in entertainment, lifestyle, sport, wellness, or tourism sectors is an asset Bachelors degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field preferred Why Join EWS EVENTS: Work on Meaningful Experiences Contribute to events that support organizations, brands, and communities.
