Job Description

POSITION DETAILS Responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a safe working environment. You will lead a team of skilled workers, coordinate schedules, and collaborate with other departments to achieve overall organizational goals. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide strong leadership to the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Motivate, coach, and mentor employees to achieve their full potential. Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines. Monitor workflow and adjust resources as necessary to ensure on-time delivery. Maintain high-quality standards throughout the fabrication process. Implement quality control measures and conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues promptly. Enforce safety protocols and ensure all employees adhere to safety regulations and procedures. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize workplace hazards and prevent accidents. Oversee the maintenance and repair of fabrication equipment to ensure optimal performance. Coordinate with maintenance staff to address any equipment issues promptly. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and supplies to support production schedules. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of materials. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. Implement efficiency measures and lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Maintain accurate production records, including work orders, inventory levels, and quality control reports. Generate regular reports on production performance, efficiency, and quality metrics. Collaborate with other supervisors and department managers to coordinate workflow and resolve inter-departmental issues. Communicate effectively with employees to provide feedback, address concerns, and promote a culture of teamwork. Identify training needs and provide ongoing skills development opportunities for employees. Ensure that all team members are adequately trained on equipment operation, safety procedures, and quality standards. WORKING CONDITIONS Works on the manufacturing floor. Must be willing to work weekends when necessary. DIRECT REPORTS Machine operators ,Welders, and assemblers in metal department QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related field (preferred) 5+ years experience in a supervisory role within a metal fabrication environment Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams Solid understanding of metal fabrication processes and equipment Knowledge of quality control principles and practices Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills Proficiency in MS Office applications and manufacturing software systems PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. VACANCY STATUS AND LOCATION This vacancy is aN existing position at Maxxit System Inc. This role will require 5 days per week on site at the Toronto office located at 1000 Martin Grove Rd, Toronto, Ontario, M9W 4V8. COMPENSATION The compensation range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00 hourly dependent upon experience. Overtime rates apply after 44 hours per week.
