ABOUT THE ROLE: Reporting to the Pieces Canada Directors, the Program Manager is accountable for operational oversight and collaborative support of the Pieces Canada Office (PCO) team. This position will function in a leadership role providing advice to support the development and implementation of identified priorities, including learning resource development, and innovative projects and partnerships. Duties include: Provide leadership and support to the PCO team, encompassing the management of day-to-day operations, human resources functions, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures. Coordinate the recruitment and selection processes for PCO and project team members in consultation with relevant Directors. Evaluate, monitor, and plan for necessary system changes and improvements. Cultivate and manage relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including community and long-term care (LTC) organizations, hospitals, health regions, academic institutions, and provincial governments, to effectively implement and support the PIECES Approach. Collaborate on program budgets, oversee expenditures, and strategically forecast resource requirements, including the provision of financial reports to leadership and stakeholders. Furnish logistical support to projects and oversee the entire process, from initial incubation through to project completion and delivery. Collaborate with directors to analyze and evaluate system information, informing the development of future opportunities for PIECES Canada. Ensure the quality of program services by responding to evaluation data and implementing appropriate improvements, including the utilization of client feedback to recommend systematic changes or opportunities for service expansion. Supervise the creation and/or utilization of appropriate databases and spreadsheets to support service delivery and planning processes. Conducts analysis and maintains data for key performance indicators and other required metrics. Quality assurance and improvement: Develop and coordinate program evaluations to ensure new and existing programs effectively address client needs, incorporate best practices, and adhere to contractual commitments and budget requirements. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE: A University Degree in a related field (e.g. health sciences, social/policy sciences, public administration, health administration or business administration). A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience managing operational functions. Equivalencies : Directly related experience or education considered on the basis of: 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education Additional skills desired for the role: A Masters Degree in a relevant academic field is highly desirable (or equivalent mix of educational and work experience). Demonstrated experience within a healthcare environment, such as mental health, long-term care, hospital settings, community health, other relevant health care domains, or non-government organizations. Experience in leading teams and projects, requiring effective engagement of and collaboration with external partners and stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to engage, mentor, and empower teams and stakeholders in a collaborative and participative manner to support the implementation of new strategies and change management initiatives. Computer proficiency including Google applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other business and/or software applications. Proven capacity to manage multi-stakeholder initiatives and projects, including effective stakeholder liaison and management. Strong ability to work independently and manage ones time.
