We work with clients in the oil and gas, mining, construction, coastal logging, military and defense sectors. Coverage is as diverse as offshore oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, to coastal logging camps in B.C., to construction camps in the Alberta Oil Sands. Facilities are located within drill camps, mining camps, construction camps, pipeline camps, oil and gas installations and correctional facilities. Job Summary Now, if you were to come on board as a General Manager , wed ask you to do the following for us: Supervise services regarding buildings, equipment, janitorial, and grounds maintenance. Procure sub-contractor services, schedule installations, and oversee repairs. Implement preventative programs per site-specific systems, equipment, and building maintenance. Ensure implementation of safety regulations and programs. Maintain records for equipment inspections, rotational work assignments, and overtime allowances. Manage budgetary needs, monitor expenditures, and take corrective action when needed. Evaluate operations for quality and effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement. Review financial reports, recognize variations, and provide corrective actions to achieve budget. Ensure that all legislative requirements are met, involving construction, installation, fire, safety and sanitation. Think you have what it takes to be our General Manager ? Were committed to hiring the best talent for the role. Heres how well know you will be successful: Degree or diploma in engineering, business administration, or property management preferred. Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a commercial or institutional facility. Knowledge of facilities management, including: heating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, equipment, janitorial, and information technology. Proven experience in project management, procurement, contracts, bids, and quotes. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office. Solid interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
