Systematix is currently seeking an experienced RBAC / IAM Lead with Healthcare/CIS experience to support our client in advancing Identity and Access Management (IAM) readiness for a province-wide Clinical Information System (CIS) implementation. This role is remote with occasional travel, working Atlantic time zone (AST) hours. LOCATION & WORK HOURS Location: Remote with periodic travel to New Brunswick (approximately once per quarter) Work Hours: MondayFriday aligned with Atlantic Standard Time business hours Start Date: April 1st, 2026 - flexible Duration: 24-month contract with potential 1-year extension As the RBAC / IAM Lead , you will play a key role in assessing the current IAM environment, identifying gaps, and implementing a scalable role and access model to support the rollout of a provincial Clinical Information System. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Review and document existing IAM capabilities including identity sources, authentication models, and access workflows Identify gaps between current IAM processes and CIS security and access requirements Develop implementation roadmaps and plans to address IAM capability gaps Facilitate alignment between clinical, operational, technical, and security stakeholders Oversee development of role-based access models for clinicians and operational users Coordinate IAM integrations with directory services, HR systems, identity sources, and provisioning processes Support IAM governance, role management processes, and access request workflows Monitor risks related to IAM readiness and support resolution of issues impacting CIS deployment Assist partner organizations in preparing for new IAM processes and operational support models Provide reporting, progress tracking, and stakeholder communication across the IAM program REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Health Informatics, or related discipline Experience implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) within Clinical Information Systems or hospital environments Experience defining clinical roles and access for physicians and healthcare users 5+ years leading IAM initiatives within large healthcare or public sector organizations Experience assessing IAM capabilities and planning improvements for major system implementations Experience coordinating IAM workstreams across enterprise security, HR, and technology teams Experience leading projects or IAM workstreams including planning, risk management, and reporting PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience working with clinicians and clinical informatics teams Experience integrating enterprise systems with IAM / IGA technologies Experience with IAM platforms such as Microsoft Intune/EntraID, Okta, or Ping Experience implementing MFA, SSO, identity lifecycle management, or access governance Knowledge of healthcare privacy, security, and access auditing requirements Experience designing IAM governance processes and role catalogues Bilingual English/French communication skills considered an asset KEY DELIVERABLES Project plans and IAM implementation roadmaps IAM governance documentation and policies CIS role catalogues and configuration documentation Clinical role and profile definitions Training materials and operational support documentation IAM operational hand-off and post-go-live support models Routine status updates and stakeholder reporting PAY DISCLOSURE Intermediate: (69 years experience) $90 $100 per hour Senior: (10+ years experience) $125 $150 per hour Compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and market conditions.
